FTP Hosting FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about our FTP hosting service.
What is FTP hosting and what can it be used for?
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) hosting is an online storage space that allows for easy and fast uploading, downloading, and sharing of files over the internet. It is ideal for data backup, transferring large files, or storing and managing website files.
What protocols do the FTP hosting packages support?
In addition to traditional FTP, our packages also support more secure SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) and SCP (Secure Copy Protocol) connections. Furthermore, the RSYNC protocol can also be used, which is particularly useful for data synchronization and automated backup tasks.
How can I connect to my FTP hosting?
You can connect with any FTP client software (e.g., FileZilla, WinSCP, Cyberduck) using the username, password, and server address provided by us. You can also use this information for secure SFTP or SCP connections by selecting the appropriate protocol in the client.
Are there any restrictions on the size or number of files that can be uploaded?
Within the total storage capacity defined in your storage package, there are no individual restrictions on the size of individual files or the number of files that can be uploaded. Unlimited data traffic ensures that you don't have to worry about the amount of file transfers.
